New York Life Insurance CompanyNew York Life Insurance Company is an Anchor Investor and minority shareholder in the Asia Strategic Capital Fund, L.P., bringing with it a wealth of experience as one of the world's leading mezzanine investors.


New York Life is one of the world's largest life insurers, founded over 160 years ago. It is a mutual company with US$169 billion in consolidated assets, a Standard & Poor's rating of AAA, and a Moody's rating of Aaa. New York Life Capital Partners (ˇ°NYLCAPˇ±), an affiliate of New York Life Investment Management LLC, manages the alternative asset activities of New York Life. Today it manages over manages over US$5 billion of private equity assets of New York Life and other institutional clients, including direct equity, direct mezzanine, and limited partnership investments.


New York Life began its mezzanine investment program in 1992. As of December 31, 2006, it has invested over $800 million in over 50 mezzanine transactions in the United States and Europe.

ORIX provides AMCG with assistance in relation to identification, acquisition, holding and disposal of investments in Japan, identifies potential transactions, assists in due diligence of potential transactions, and provides AMCG with operational and logistical support in Tokyo.

AMCG's partner in India is IL&FS Investment Managers Limited, which serves as Adviser for India.

IIML is a publicly listed private equity fund manager headquartered in Mumbai, whose major shareholder is Infrastructure, Leasing & Financial Services Limited, a leading independent diversified financial services firm based in India, with activities that include investment banking, merchant banking, and asset management. IIML has five funds under management totaling more than US$825 million, including the Leverage India Fund, The Tara India Fund III, the South Asian Regional Apex Fund, the India Auto Ancillary Fund, and the IL&FS Realty Fund.


IIML provides AMCG with assistance in relation to identification, acquisition, holding and disposal of investments in India, identifies potential transactions,assists in due diligence of potential transactions, and provides AMCG operational and logistical support in Mumbai and Bangalore.
